She can lead you to love
she can take you or leave you.

but She´ll bring out the best and the worst you can be

Billy Joel

Meteor shower

The kiss that stuck
it remained wrapped upon my lips
uncertain to brush yours
beneath your sparkling hazel eyes.

The hands that shook,
one slowly sliding across your back
while the other shifting to hold yours
treason that reveal my uncertainty about you
standing on an empty street.

The voice that collapses
hearing you strain my name
in that accent of yours that makes you so recognizable
as much as the shuddering of your proximity.

My sight that deviates,
fleeing like coward
to cynically stare upon you
pleading to your naked shoulders of some other night.

The heart that sinks,
acknowledging when absent
neglecting you when present
yearning when you are not aware.

Life becomes one complex and simple knot,
made of a kiss about to break
a trembling hand,
a whispering voice,
a distant look
and a wandering heart
